Google to Promote AdWords and Adsense Programmes in Malaysia

Filed in: Google, Malaysia — February 25th, 2006

Google will promote its advertising programmes throughout Southeast Asia, including Malaysia this year.

Google Inc will conduct seminars with the government, local partners and advertising agencies in Malaysia this year to promote its AdWords and AdSense programmes to SMEs, government institutions, as well as multinational brands in industries such as travel, technology, retail and financial services.

AdWords? Adsense?

AdWords: You pay Google to advertise your website.
Adsense: Google pays you for advertisements on your website.

My two cents

That’s great! I wish I am invited to the seminars. :)

With Google promotions in Southeast Asia, the local information websites will get more related ads (read: more money).

True….more relevant ad n more advertisers = more income for adsense user.

But for adword user, more advertiser = highest cost of advertising hehe.

Yeah read this news in TheStar too. This is not something i would be too excited about, i rather wish Google allow direct bank in the monthly revenue in Malaysia, that would be something we would cheer about, right Liew?

    Yea, Kahsoon..agree with u!

On the other hand, since Google is going to promote adwords/adsense
in Malaysia..it’s safe to say they wont be banning this country from their list.

phew…no banned to Malaysians..but this’ll definitely bring more truckloads of adsense spammers… sigh..

Sure ah? The last time i heard from the Ebay officials during the ebay.com.my on Paypal withdrawal to Malaysians didn’t look promising. In fact, it sounded almost impossible for Paypay to accept Malaysian withdrawal, due to Malaysia’s cyber law legislation and financial control stuff..

At last more relevant ads for a few of my local websites. But I do not think those advertiser will be excited enough to start bidding wars and outbid each other.

So the final results for Adsense publisher, probably lower ppc compare to having an international sites in English. But I guess we wont know for sure until the thing starts.
