Google Base Bug: Cannot Upload Images in Single Item Editor
Filed in: Google — April 25th, 2006
Recently, I couldn’t add any images (upload or link) to Google Base articles. I had always received an error message about “invalid format - image must be .gif, .jpg, .png, or .tif“, even though I uploaded the correct format.

I dug Internet for more information but with no luck. At last, I found the answer in Google Groups. Apparently, it is a bug.
There is a bug in Google Base that is causing file format errors to be generated for all images uploaded in the single-item editor. Our development team is aware of the problem, and they’re working to get it resolved as soon as possible.

Update (May 2, 2006): Apparently, the bug has been fixed. Cheers!
