Unofficial Engadget Store in Mid Valley Megamall, Malaysia
Filed in: Gadgets, Malaysia — April 14th, 2006
Some Malaysians have found a gadget store in Mid Valley Megamall which uses the same logo as Engadget, a popular gadget blog.
My two cents
“Malaysia Boleh!“
Shame on the gadget store. Let’s boycott the shop!

of coz they do not get official permission to use the name.
“Engadget” is a trademarked but I am not sure if the law apply in Malaysia or not.

I dun think they gonna use this name for long term, if engadget found they breach their trademark, im pretty sure they gonna do someting to this shop owner even their trademark doesnt apply in malaysia

Yeah, the official engadget logo is blue, with more “wireless waves”, and also in a different font (some kind of Lucida or Terminal font).
This MidValley version is green, has far less “wireless waves”, and is in a different font (I think it is Century Gothic).
