Basically, you need to find out the optimal settings for upload/download speed, upload slots, and connection peers based on your Internet connection speed.

steal your neighbors wireless signal, i am and i get anywhere up to 120kbps download, and once or twice up to 300kbps, amazingly. at any rate, its better than what youve got.

hi i am using 512 kb/s dsl connection how can i increase my utorrent 1.8 beta speed from 2kb/s where as the normal speed of downloading is 45-70kb/s

Get a 20mbit line like me
that’ll boost your fun :))
No seriously, I wouldn’t know, usually I single out the most succesfull and start looking for alternatives for the others.
At most succesfull downloads I get around 450 to 500 kbps.
Try a monitoring tool to see what’s actually going on.

i use a mobile net cannection spped about 460 kb/ps.
but downloading speed is very slow .
how can i increas my downloading speed.

6.GOTO WEBSITE utorrent.com and download the latest version of µTORRENT.
7.INSTALL IT.
8.AFTER INSTALLATION GOTO OPTIONS-PREFERENCES AND VIEW THE SCREENSHOTS BY FOLLOWING THE BELOW LINKS AND SET THE VALUES AND OPTIONS AS SAME AS GIVEN IN SCREENSHOTS.
a.IN CONNECTION THE PORT USED FOR INCOMING CONNECTION IS BETWEEN 50000 AND 60000.
b.UPnp PORT MAPPING SHOULD BE UNCHECKED.
c.MAXIMUM UPLOAD RATE IS 30 AND DOWNLOAD RATE MAY BE EITHER 0 OR 375 OR 500 etc.
d.IN ADVANCED OPTION net.max_halfopen VALUE SHOULD BE SET TO 50.

OK FRIENDS.MAYBE THIS WOULD BE USEFULL 4 U.SO PLZ FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO GET BETTER SPEED VIA µTORRENT…
STEPS:-
1.FIRST OFALL GOTO THE FOLLOWING LINK AND DOWNLOAD THE FILE NAMED “EvID4226Patch223d-en” WHICH IS ONLY 40KB IN SIZE.

2.THE FILE U DOWNLOADED IS A ZIP FILE SO PLZ UNZIP THROUGH ANY SOFTWARES SUCH AS WINRAR,WINZIP,

4.DOUBLE CLICK ON IT AND IT WILL ASKED TO CHANGE THE VALUE FROM 10 TO 50.PRESS Y TO PROCEED.WHEN IT ASKED FOR WINDOW CD JUST CANCEL IT AND PRESS NO.

i m using BSNL BRODBAND which gives speed abt 2mbps….till near abt 512kbps..
i m using uTorrent 1.8 beta but it gives dwld speed of just 20 to 25 kbps …

I’ve got a 64kbps broadband connection…I’m currently getting an avg speed of 6.2kbps….Any way this can be increased further or is this the limit..

I have folowwed ur instruction downloaded the zip, Extracted it, while running “EvID4226Patch.exe” file I am getting an error as
ERROR:

MOSTLY THE SPEED DEPENDS UPON THE “SEEDS” OF THE TORRRENT.THIS PROCESS IS THE BEST WORKING ONE.IF U WANNA TO CHECK UR ACTUAL SPEED THEN DOWNLOAD ANY TORRENT FILE WHICH HAVE MORE NUMBER OF SEEDS AND CHECK UR ACTUAL SPEED.
ALSO I SUGGEST U TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING LINK AND TRY WAHT IS MENTIONED FOR VISTA AND XP USERS.IT MIGHT BE USEFUL.

i m using 1.8 beta version,512kbps connection,i always choose perfect seeding torrents,but downloading speed is limit around 25-27 kbps ??

@Gagan: 1KiloBIT/Sec (KBs) is not equal to 1 KiloByte/Sec (Kbs). your download speed of 25KBs on 512kbs connection seems normal for me.

Mine says “disk overloaded 100%”. Is that what is causing the slowdown? I am at 4300 k/sec cable but I can never get more than 10k/sec download no matter how many seeders. How do I fix the “disk overload” issue?
