Submit Google AdSense Tax Information
Filed in: Adsense Tips, Make Money Online — May 13th, 2006
“How do I fill in my Google AdSense tax information?”, This is a common question raised by many AdSense publishers, especially for non-U.S. resident. In this article, I will show you, the non-U.S. residents, the step-by-step on how to submit AdSense tax information.
- I assume you are a non U.S. resident, who DO NOT have any U.S. business or U.S. activities.
- Your website or web server, hosted by 3rd party in U.S, is NOT considered as U.S. business.
- Google will HOLD your AdSense payment until your tax information is submitted.
Ready? Read on for the steps.
Steps to submitting AdSense tax information
Google AdSense team has an easy-to-use tax information wizard. It takes only a few steps to submit your tax information.
- Log in your Google AdSense account. Goto Tax Information under My Account.
- You get two boxes. Ignore the left box. In the right box, under “Or, use this wizard to find the correct form:“, select No and click the Continue >> button.

- On the next page, under “Do you have U.S. Activities related to your participation in AdSense?“, select No (certify no U.S. Activities)
- Next, you will see a page entitled Certification of No U.S. Activities.. Type in your full name in the text box on the page and click the Submit information button.
- You’re done.
and click the Continue >> button.

My two cents
It is easy, right? We used to be extra careful when submitting tax related information. I hope you find this article useful. More information is available at Google AdSense - Tax Information

I have question to anybody here. when google send PIN to our address, will they call us via phone in Malaysia to verify the phone number, or just verify thru email? I heard the phone verification only for ppl who live in US or Canada. I wonder if it happened to ppl who live in Malaysia too. anybody in Malaysia got phone call from google to verify the pin number?

When do I need to enter my PIN to receive payment?
To be eligible to receive your first AdSense payment, you’ll need to enter your PIN by the 15th of the month. For example, if your account balance exceeded US $100 during January, your PIN must be entered by February 15th in order to qualify for payment in February. If your PIN is entered after the 15th of the month, your earnings will roll over to the following month and you will be paid during the next payment cycle.

When the statement wrote “need to ENTER your PIN”, what’s the meaning? WHERE should I enter the pin? Is it in my google adsense account?

Yes, enter the PIN in your AdSense account under “Payment History” page

“… your computer IP’s address will be recorded when you…”
I notice that google will record IP address for tax information. How about entering PIN in adsense account? is there any notice about IP address recorded like tax information?
I wonder if I use different IP address for every login will effect my adsense account. And also if I got the PIN by mail, and bring it with me in flight, and I *enter the PIN while I taking vacation in the oversea.
