So is there any new version of Video downloader that is compatible with firefox 2.0?
November 24th, 2006 at 4:00 am
Hey guys,
I have an iMac G5 running tiger 10.4.7 and I an having a wierd problem. Whenever I go to a site that has an embedded youtube, flash or some kind of video, there is no sound. If it a quicktime file there is no problem. There is not sound no matter what broswer I use, firefox, camino, safari, or shiira. And keep in mind that about a week ago I was not having this issue.
Help Would be awesome
Thanks!

Heimdal is a useful GPL browser program, like as videodownloader, that allows you to download videos from more 117 video sites, and all embedded objects on a webpage.
Between its advantages they are:
- Privacity
- Multimedia conversion tool
- Capture links on fly and of other forms, without having to install nothing in pc.
- Linux and other os. compatible using wine emulator.
- File manager (rename files, managing, etc)
- Searcher
- Multilanguage (English, spanish, portuguese, german, italian, etc)
- Work with list, check link status, and other useful tools included.

You can’t record MP3 streaming audio that is streamed through the RTMP protocol with software like that.
But you may use RTMP stream rippers. Read about them on the following page

Hi, I’ve been trying to download a few videos from myspace via the websites tthat allow you to copy & paste links. Yet, when I try to play the videos(I’m using vlc) , only sound comes out. I can download youtube videos and play them just fine. I’ve tried using different websites, but the same thing happens. I try to convert the myspace videos to mpeg4 format(using this 3gp converter I have) and it also doesn’t work, when when I convert youtube videos it works just fine. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

I am trying to download tv shows and am having a heck of a time doing it. The shows are at this site: http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/2
I have installed firefox and video downloader extensions but can not get anything to work. I keep getting “open socket” errors.
Can somebody try to download a show to their system and if they are successfull PLEASE tell me the steps to do it myself?
I have tried those sites that allow you to paste the link of the video into a section and that site allows you to download, Like keepvid etc. Those sites do not work eiter.
Thank you

@Paul: the online video download sites do not work for ALL online video sites.
I notice that the video link you posted is using dailymotion.com to host their videos. You can try to search the videos on dailymotion.com and download the video using the video downloader or other online video downloader.

I’ve tried to see what’s up and I’ve been reading that youtube changed the code or something?? Is this true?? Will enrique be developing a bypass so we can continue to
download from you tube??
