Netvibes Attack?
Filed in: Site News, Technology, Web, Weblog — June 2nd, 2006
I was shocked by yesterday’s Feedburner feed subscribers counter because the amount of subscribers boosted from less than 1000 to over 50,000!

Counters on other websites were working fine. I had no clue what caused Netvibes bring in 50,000 subscribers overnight.
Anyway, it is back to normal today. The latest feed subscribers report shows only 14 Netvibes subscribers.
Netvibes is a personal homepage like Google personalized home, where you can add your own news feeds.

Hi,
This is a known issue in which an aggregator reported incorrect numbers for 5/31 for a set of feeds. It has since been corrected on the aggregators side and those corrections should already be reflected in your feedburner statistics for that day. Let us know (http://forums.feedburner.com) if you still see an outstanding issue, we’d be glad to look into it.
Here is a Known Issues post from our forums:

Netvibes… what they are upto? I found a way better service from PageFlakes.. Faster startup and smoother operations. Even i’ve tried it on some P3 cpus with only got 128mb ram.. still working like a charm .. netvibes even in new cpu works so so so slow…
