I use AVG Antivirus and Ad-Adware, they do well!

Spybot is OK but Ad-Adware sucks. I am using AOL Active Virus Shield.

You can add Sophos Free Root Kit detection and removal tool to your list. I am currently with Nod32 antivirus and Kerio personal firewall both of them are shareware.
