The 26th Birthday
Filed in: Life Log — August 20th, 2006
All right, my birthday has over and I am now officially 26 year old. ![]()
Compare to my 25th birthday, here are what I got this year:
- An ice-cream cake from my friend
- Birthday dinner with family
- Birthday celebration with my friends
- A shirt
- A Saa Ha VooDoo little cupid
- Four voice messages
- Many sms, email, and online messenger text greetings
Birthday presents

One of my 26th birthday present. The Padini green white striped shirt. [from HuiXin]

One of my 26th birthday present. The Saa Ha VooDoo(devil) little cupid doll made in Thailand. [from M]
PS: I did not shoot the ice cream cake…
Voice messages
I received four voice messages for my birthday. It is lower than I expected. I am surprised that many friends do not have a mic.
Thank you
Thank you all for your birthday greetings and the support during the past one year of my full-time blogging.
Yes, I have full-time blogging for almost a year, and I survived! How about a celebration for the anniversary?
Birthday wishes?
What are most important for a man? Career and Love. I don’t quite worry about my career. It is quite stable now and I know The Road Ahead.
Love, is the problem. As my mom said, “Everything can be planned and prepared, except LOVE.”
Sometimes, I need someone to support me at the back. I would feel safe and secure to continue fighting in my life.
Well, nothing much I can do. Just sit and wait for my Ms. Right. Wish I can meet her in the next 365 days.
Hey, any girl to intro?

My advice is just try to get some social life rather than just sitting at home. I’m sure you will find your match. Happy belated birthday!

@Izzatz13: Thank you. What kind of social life would you suggest?

I suggest get yourself engage with activites — like subscribing to gym, camping with friends (of course, ask ‘em to bring along more friends) and probably you can go for classes to meet more people. (depending on your interest/hobby, maybe u can join music or dancing classes — those that have more female members)
Also, don’t forget to:
1. Always make yourself friendly enough to make ppl love you.
2. Always make the first move to break the ice — don’t just sit in own world n hoping tht some gals will approach you.
3. Be funny and cheerful — no one can force you on this, but most females like funny guy.
4. Learn to dress — dress to impress as first impression always counts.. no ideas? then, buy some men mags on fashion.. try to stick to simple yet stylish.
5. Be confident — concentrate on yourself before focusing on the gals. You’ll make a difference in yourself, and gals will admire you for tht.
I hope my tips work for you

hpy blated b’day. u may try joining interesting classes like dancing, music or language classes.. Whilst this is one way to get to know gals, consider these suggestions..
Basically, most females love guys with confidence, humor and a lit’ style. Since someone said tht u r a geek, maybe can make some changes in ur current style.
1. Start with ur hairstyle, consider changing ur specs, then ur clothings. I heard ppl saying these r not imprtnt — but remember, u need to ensure ur 1st impression is always the best one.
2. Make urself approachable by being friendly and funny.
3. Don’t expect gals to come to u — always make the first move.
4. Online dating is worth trying — but u still need to concentrate on the 3-items above before go for it.
i hope these ideas work for u. thks for ur on-going ideas on blogging.
p/s: don’t button all when u wear polo-tees..
