Inspite of a lot of deliberation, I finally upgraded to WordPress 2.x.
The upgrade wasn’t much of a problem. There are a lot of features in 2.0 which I have disabled, e.g. the WYSIWYG editor.
On an overall 2.0 is a lot more efficient and said to be more secure.
Are you still on 1.5.x ?

I have one heavy traffic blog still on 1.5.3 and am too frightened to upgrade it. Looks like liewcf is still on 1.5.3 too.

I’ll say this much… it’s sure as heck better than Blogger! I’ve migrated to 2.04 and am loving every moment of it.

as amos wong said, I am too frightened to upgrade. I have too many custom tweaks and plugins. I don’t care about the interface because I blog from my powerful blogging client.

I installed Wordpress 2.X for my new blog.
I guess the upgrade would be inevitable in the future but the fear of losing everything is real. I probably would like to practice this sometimes in the future while there are still not much content yet.

yup, I use new WP for all new blogs. I am sure, one day I would need to upgrade LiewCF.com too.

I was running http://medicine.com.my on 1.53 for quite sometime and in view of the tons of plugins used, I was worried something would break.
But when 2.04 was launched I decided to take the plunge and am happy to say with a little bit of research on what plugins needed to be upgraded, and following the upgrade instructions to the letter, all went well.
