200K Caught Spam

In July 2006, a total of 120K spams were caught on this site. Now, the number has reached another milestone. The Akismet plugin reported 200K caught spams!
According to Akismet stat, a total of 370 million spams recorded. The number of spam is increasing steadily all the time. 93% of all comments are spam.
In a nutshell, we are flooded by spam comments.

I’m averaging a minimum of 500 a day now. I can’t imagine what I’d do without akismet!

I didn’t bother to on Akismet anymore. The plugin always mistook my visitor’s comment as spam. Now I use the challenge plugin, and I see no spam anymore.

thats why we need other protection for defend our website from spammers.
