Fakapster - the First Malaysia Blog Update ServicePinging update services is a way to get traffic to your blog. I discovered fakapster blog update service from a reader. I believe it is the first blog update service in Malaysia. Good job!

How to ping Fakapster?

The XML-RPC address is http://ping.fakapster.com/rpc Simply put the address in your blog related setting and you’re done. Here is the example instruction for WordPress users taken from the site:

  1. Simply goto your Wordpress Administration panel
  2. Goto Options, then goto Writing
  3. Add http://ping.fakapster.com/rpc to textbox under “Update Services”.
  4. You’re done ! Your blog will appear in this website when you publish
    new post in your blog (give it about 5-20 minutes)

    Hmm.. I put the ping thingy in my wordpress and after I published a new post, waited for a few minutes, my new post doesn’t seems to appear on the fakap site ler…

    Thanks for sharing this. Agree with the previous comments, the service’s name doesn’t come with a nice pronunciation… but i guess that makes it easier to memorize it.
