Blogathon 2007 in Malaysia

July 27th, 2007 | Category: Charity, Events, Weblog | 16 Comments

Blogathon 2007Blogathon 2007 is coming! There will be 556 bloggers blog straight 24 hours to raise funds for charity at July 28, 2007.

What is a Blogathon? “During the Blogathon, people update their websites every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. For this, they collect sponsorships. Pledges can be a flat donation, or a certain amount for every hour the blogger manages to stay awake.”

Instead of a blogathoner, I have been a blogathon sponsor since 2005. This year I will support ALL Malaysian blogathoners.

I will sponsor RM500 to every Malaysian blogger who blog for local charities, and USD100 to every Malaysian blogger who blog for foreign charities. The amount will be shared, if two or more bloggers blog for the same charity.

Here is the list of Malaysian bloggers joining Blogathon 2007:

Please support them and make a difference to the world!

I am thinking what I can do for the community… Any suggestions?

Just in case you haven’t noticed, MyBlogLog now supports tagging. Please take a minute to tag our community.

Also, community owner now can send messages to all community members at once, but I found that the “Private Message” option does not work. Every message you send out to all community members is a public message, regardless the chosen option. Is it a bug?

By the way, the winners of LiewCF MyBlogLog Community giveaway have received and enjoyed their free audio CDs. :)

Join us now, if you haven’t.

How to submit your Gmail video?

  1. Print out the M-velope gmail m-velope (PDF)
  2. Take your Gmail video. Make sure the M-velope is enters from the left of the screen and exits from the right.
  3. Submit your video at Gmail: A Behind the Scenes Video

Hmm… I wish to see M-velope in front of KLCC. Someone shoots the video? :)

No need income supporting documents

I applied the card via my friend about two weeks ago. My friend told me that, “anyone who invested RM10,000 or more in Public Mutual fund for over 1 year can apply a PB credit card without having to submit other income supporting documents.”

I have invested more than 10K in Public Mutual funds for less than a year. My friend asked me try to apply anyhow. If approved, he can get RM100 commission and I get a gold credit card. If not approved, I have nothing to lose too.

The application was simple. Just filled up the application form and enclosed a photostat copy of my NRIC.
