Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) Leaked for BT Download
Filed in: Web — July 21st, 2007
It is 21st July, 2007, the big day to all Harry Potter fans. The final book of Harry Potter series — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) is on sale today.
However, no matter how much security works they have to protect the book, the pirated copies of the book were leaked online on BitTorrent networks a few days before official release date.
“A check of some of the BitTorrent search engines shows that the book is typically broken up into multiple parts. The copies appear to originate from photographs taken of leaked copies of the novel. One version found with the torrent-tracking site, The Pirate Bay, had pages 496 to the end of the nearly 800-page fantasy about a boy wizard.” — News.com
Although the BT download links have been removed but many have downloaded a copy. The Harry Potter 7 spoiler is spreading in the Net.
According to Los Angeles Times, Scholastic Inc, the publisher of the Harry Potter book series is taking legal actions against several peer-to-peer websites, and DeepDiscount.com (online retailer) over the unauthorized release of digital and print version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7).

Even here in Malaysia, bookstores are boycotting the sale of this book to show protest since Tesco is selling it much cheaper.

RM 69.90? That about £ 10.00 !!! The book can be bought for £6.99 from WHSmiths. Thats about RM49.27. The conversions are based on the assumption that RM is the same as Malaysian ringgits.
