For any reason, if you want to delete your Google Account, here is the step-by-step instruction tutorial with screenshots for you.
Note: Be careful! You cannot recover Google Account once deleted!
How to delete a Google Account
- Log in your Google Accounts
- Click the Edit link next to the My Services list.
- On the new page, click on the link “Close account and delete all services and info associated with it”.
- Confirm your Google Account deletion by checking the boxes next to your Google services(example: Blogger), “Yes, I want to delete my account.”, and “Yes, I acknowledge that …”, along with your Google Account password. Click “Delete Google Account”.
- Done. Your Google Account is deleted. Bye-bye, Google!

malique, last time i delete before, is becouse i sign up google checkout to purchase thing, after purchase, i delete the acc better, to ensure no problem at future(people steal my account to purchase stuff)

Since we are using the same Google ID for many Google’s applications, why do we need to delete it? But at least we should know the option of doing it, right?

@sunny: you do not need to delete your adsense account. Each person can have one personal adsense account.

I cannot access my gmail at all!!
Sum1 has broken into my accnt N I cant even log in to delete it!
Is ter any other way by which I can delete my google accnt even if I cant retrieve my password by any means?
Will goggle be able to delete it for me??

I have a Google account set as my homepage and to access it I have to sign in. All of a sudden when I log in a window pops up that reads…… Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http://www.google.com ….operation aborted.
The only way I can get out of it is to type in Yahoo.com so I can get out of it. I have tried everything possible & have even had my Dell support try to help & nothing has helped. I cannot delete it because I cannot open it. Has anyone ever had that problem before. I am about ready to throw the darn thing out the window? I thought if I could delete it & start over I could get rid of the problem. I cannot afford telephone support because it would cost me a fortune. Any help would certainly be appreciated.
