Google AdSense announced a new feature for Blogger.com users to allow them insert AdSense ads in between blog posts. Member can select how often to display ads, example: show ads after two posts.

Here is the step-by-step instruction to insert AdSense ads between Blogger blog posts:

Note: you need to have a Google AdSense account to enable the new feature.

  1. Log into your Blogger account
  2. Goto Template tab and click Page Elements link
  3. Click Edit at the lower right corner of Blog Posts section

    Edit Blogger template

  4. Tick the checkbox of Show Ads Between Posts and *magic* a Configure Inline Ads section shown up
  5. Then, you can select how often your’d like your ads to appear, from every 1 to 5 posts. However, ads displayed only up to 3 times per page (due to AdSense program policies). You can select the ad format and customize the colors. All AdSense ad units and link units are supported, except AdSense search box and referral units.

  6. Click SAVE CHANGES when you are done and you should see AdSense ads are displayed in between your blog posts now.

My two cents

So, it is easier to add more AdSense ads on your Blogger blogs. It is very easy to setup, but missing ad channel option, which is important to track ad performance.

Based on my experience, the ads between posts do not perform as well as ads in the post body.

By the way, even though you can have a large tall leaderboard banner in between blog posts… don’t do that! Stick with rectangle shape ad formats for better performance.

The channel is not a problem - it’s appears in a different page, i.e. the My Account -> Account Access -> Revenue Share Rate.

But, the main drawback is perhaps the control of margin or position to display the Adsense ads to suit some New Blogger template, which pointed out by walker at walkernews.net

LOL I should have read this first as I used this option. I love my blogger template but there’s a weird space at the end of each post. Also, do you have a tip on how to insert ads in the post body? I’ll also check out Google for instructions…

    Hi.

On my blog http://www.empregos-aveiro.com, i´m unable to show ads between posts the normal way, because this item simply wont appear in the “Configure Blog Posts” window.
I added the code manually, but i want to have this adsense only once every 2 posts, instead of every post. Can you help me?

  19. #19
    LcF Says:

@Helper Marques: simply select “2″ for “show after every..” under “Configure Inline Ads”

    not that easy, man ;)

The option “Show ads between posts simply don´t exist.
I had to do it in the HTML code. But havent find the way to repeat the ads every 2 posts, because it works the default way, one post, one ad…

I try to configure as this is really straightforward. But when I want to save after my setting is done, it just not allow to save and come out the error of “Please correct the errors on this form” at the top.

I try to create an adsense gadget and try to save, also the same error “Please correct the errors on this form” is show.

Anyone know what is the problem?
