Not Enough Google Storage? Buy More!
Filed in: Google — August 11th, 2007
When Google first launched Gmail gigabyte email account, we thought that was crazy. However, some of us already filled up the 2.8GB mail box (see how much you are using)
Need more space? Google now allows you to purchase additional storage. The additional storage will be shared across Google products, currently Gmail and Picasa Web Albums. Soon, other applications like Google Docs & Spreadsheets.

The Google storage plan is starting at $20 USD per year for 6GB (Google Blogscoped reported that it was only $1). The largest plan is 250GB at $500/year.
My two cents
I was checking Amazon S3 storage service. I thought Google storage is similar that we can use it for file hosting. Too bad, Google storage is limited to Google products. Hopefully Google will launch web/file hosting services soon.

Yeah, I’ll just stick with Yahoo mail since the storage space is now unlimited. Personally, I don’t need tons of storage space for email but it’s nice to have no limit
