Public Bank Credit Card Transactions

It has been 3 weeks since I received my first credit card — Public Bank Visa Gold. I spent over RM3000 in less than a month on both online and offline credit card transactions.

The first transaction (RM2,335) was the online purchase of Dell LCD projector on behalf of my brother. In fact, I don’t think it was an online credit card processing.
I submitted my order at Dell Malaysia website and received a call from Public Bank for transaction confirmation while I was still sleeping at the noon. Few days later, I received a letter about the credit card order.
Then, my brother received the Dell LCD Projector 3 or 4 days later.
The 2nd and 3rd credit card transactions (RM500 + RM349.86) were part of my Blogathon 2007 donation to two charities, local and international. Both donations were done online.
Sushi King opened a new branch at BP Mall, Batu Pahat. I went there with a friend and paid the bill (RM42.74) with my credit card. It was my first time using credit card at a offline merchant. It took about a minute, signed and off. No small changes.
It is very easy to spend money with a credit card. I heard of many cases of stole credit card. But we only receive transaction records and bill at the end of the month. I feel insecure about that.
Therefore, I went to Public Bank and asked to add my credit card account into my existing PBeBank (Public Bank online banking) account. It was activated in a day. Now I can check my card transactions anytime!

Hey,once you use your online banking service to check credit card trandsactions,is it updated or having some delays?!For my experience from HL bank online banking service,I can see 3-4 days delay on recording ttansactions to online banking service…

I thought DELL only accept online payment on Citibank & Maybank only?

@didi: Dell Malaysia do accept credit card payment (visa or mastercard).

Hey-ey Liew…
Congrats on the Gold Credit Card! A word of wisdom from one who has seen lives literally go down the toilet because of credit card mismanagement.
- Always settle your bills fully if possible.
- If not possible, always settle MORE than the minimum amount
- If possible, NEVER accumulate debt of more than HALF of your credit limit.
- Never believe that you will win a prize by using your credit card more.
- Never, EVER miss a credit card payment OR pay late. Your payments or missed payments are tracked and they WILL appear the next time you apply for a loan for a car or house.

ur PBank is good on service….
i used the HL credit card to purchase a RM2790 DELL laptop, nvr receive any confimation call then debited to DELL
