What to Do When Your Favorite Blog is Not Updating?

You probably have blogs that you read daily like reading newspaper. So what if the blogs are have not updated for days? What should you do?
- Drop a message to the blog author and tell him/her how much you like the blog and wait for the updates.
- Got tips for the blog? Send to the author and he/she will appreciate it.
- Subscribe to the blog feed to track the updates.
- Send a direct message (SMS) to the author via Twitter (or similar services).
- Read the blog archives, you will discover something you have probably missed out last time.
- Be patient.

Do you realise that is Jeremy Wright’s book ? He’s my boss in b5media.com. When my blogs don’t update, I go out and smell the roses. There’s more to life than reading blogs.

I’ll definitely do the last one, ‘be patient’ and hope the next updates will be exciting and interesting as before. I agree with Colbert Low, do something else or than blog hopping or blogging. Enjoy our life…

hehehe. I will nudge him/her 30 times a days, write 30 emails a day.
kidding. Of course, the last step need to be taken. Be patient until the author update and comment about how long I have awaited for the new post.

This is tempting. Mostly, i’d rather read or add more subscription to other blogs in the same niche. In the end, if these blogs updating their posts in the same time, i’ll pick the folder in my Google Reader and Mark them all as read. Or, i’ll be busy unsubscribing.
But these days, i think there are only one or two good blogs in the same niche. The first one is the pioneer or ones that can describe the topic best, and the second is usually the best among the followers.
So if it’s as good as your blog or Digital Inspiration, I’ll rather wait (actually i do and in the meantime, read other favorite niche).
You’re one of the best, I’m inspired. Cheers!

Bloggers are people too - they are not machine that can be expected to churn out something everyday.
I’d say, instead of being frustrated or annoyed, subscribed to their RSS and save those time of visiting them everyday to check out other blogs that do get updated every day

i will email the owner of the blog. serious, i did send an email to the owner of earningblog.com and ask for the reason (because i don’t know why he not update his blog with some fire ball question!) before he decided to sell his blog to Loiuss.

i’ll most likely pay a lesser visit to the blog … so for example if i used to visit the blog on daily basis, i’ll revisit after probably a week … if still no update then a month later … more than that, i’ll delete it from bookmark …

Just be patient..and if there’s a way to contact the author, ask him/her how is he/she doing? Is there something that bothering him/her. Sometimes when there’s nothing to blog, or simply no inspiration or mood…things will just slow down. Just wait ^^
