Anyone know whether it is possible to have several IP addresses associated with one server?

… meaning when you do a look up for a domain name, it might show only a handful of other domains hosted with you, but in fact there are other domains sitting on different IP addresses?

Sadly, it doesn’t work for VPSes… i.e. to know who your neighbours are on the same server machine.

I have about 600+ neighbours….that’s quite a lot on a single server…I should probably switch to a different webhost…

@ismail: the ip address is assigned by your web hosting provider. you may request for an individual IP address for your website, but you have to pay more for that.

wow blog neighbors is adult website and got 200++ website under my IP address.

boy, i’ve 1220 neighbors because i’m too poor to have my own house … i’m renting a room with bad neighborhoods … drug addicts, arm dealers etc etc … because i’m under blogspot platform

I also find few neighbors who are blogger too… but this is not a good news, it will transparent the infor, such as which hosting are we using…

People will know which hosting company we use by asking our neighbors where they host…

but of some one really want to know it, it sure have other tool other then this… Internet are transparent
