While you are celebrating for the Chinese New Year 2008, have you thought of the unfortunate people in the world? If you think you are happy, please share some of your happiness with them. I recommend World Vision’s Gift of Hope, a program to help children and families who are in desperate need.
How it works?
The villagers in Sabah, India, and Vietnam made a list of things that they really need, and then World Vision compiles the list into a gift catalogue. You select gifts for yourself or loved one and receive a gift card telling him/her about the gift that you’ve given in his/her honour. The ordered gifts are purchased and delivered to the villagers.

Just before Chinese New Year eve, I went to Kajang for a lion dance show. Going back, seen an old chinese fella collecting boxes to be sold. Then i realized that there are still many people leaving in poverty in Malaysia, so this kind of post makes us remember how lucky we are. Keep up the good work Liew!

It is the best present for the community I think. Have been sponsoring a child with a friend of mine and planning to adopt another one. It is time we should do something to the community. Good job to you.

If you really want to help children in Asian, take one in and adopt one.
That is what we did. Our daughter is from poor rural farm country in Hunan, China. She was 22 months old when we brought her home to California. Now she is 7 and he JOY of our lives
