In June 2008, WordPress Shop revealed the new WordPress Olive Green Tees to replace the nearly run out red wordpress t-shirts.

PIKOM PC Fair 2008 (II) is coming in August 2008. It is the second PC Fair of the year. I missed the first PC Fair of the year in April because I was in Sabah.

What to expect in PIKOM PC Fair 2008 (II)?

WiMax from Green Packet/P1 — Green Packet has 8 booths in the PC Fair at KL Convention Centre. They must be heavily promoting their WiMax service in Malaysia — P1 w1max. You might be able to surf with wimax connection there.

Netbook/Subnotebook — These small size laptops are so hot in 2008! I expect to see netbook from each notebook brands, such as Acer Aspire One, HP 2133 Mini-Note PC, ASUS Eee PC, and, hopefully, MSI Wind PC and Dell E.

Netlynx, a TIME dotNet company, is offering 10Mbps broadband connection in Malaysia, which is 2.5 times faster than TMNet Streamyx 4Mbps broadband package.

However, it is currently only available in Nusa Idaman, Johor and Damansara Perdana, Selangor.

The Netlynx 10Mbps package is RM499 per month. Compare to Streamyx 4Mbps at RM268 per month, Netlynx is a better deal. Netlynx also offer lower speed packages at 2MBps, 4MBps, and 6MBps.

As seen on the Netlynx broadband package list page, it has started in year 2007. I feel ashame that I haven’t heard about it until recently.

Has anyone tried Netlynx? Is it stable and reliable? If so, I might consider moving to Nusa Idaman (nearer) or Damansara Perdana.

I am back from BarCamp Malaysia 2008 and took a day off.

While I was away, LiewCF.com published a guest post titled “I am quitting blogging”. I am sorry that the title shocked some of you. I am not going to quit blogging anytime soon. Anyway, it is an inspiring article that worth a read.

I attended the Day 1 but skipped the Day 2 because I have another date. I was there quite early to meet up with HongKiat, Kay, and James for breakfast. We stuck together for the whole day (Thanks for the beer, HongKiat!)

Most first day sessions of BarCamp Malaysia are quite technical, mostly for developers. The only session that might be helpful to all attenders is Jame’s “How to become 25% more productive“. Here are the slides/videos of all BarCamp Malaysia sessions.

BarCamp Malaysia is great (because met many great guys). I am looking forward for the next one but make sure there is good Internet connectivity.

Now, I have to clear 242 unread emails, 90+ comments, few social web inboxes, and 1 plugin update… Fulltime blogger can’t go offline for too long time.
