Charity Donations for Deepavali 2008
Filed in: Charity and Donations — October 26th, 2008
Happy Deepavali 2008, or the “Festival of Lights”! I have made another batch of charity donations for this festival. Hopefully the small money will light up some lives.
The beneficiaries are all multiracial non-profit charity organizations in Malaysia:
- Malaysian Red Crescent Society
- Buddhist Tzu-Chi Meris Society
- National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia
- World Vision HOPE Fund
P.S. I have got my first cheque book from UOB after rejected by Maybank.

The money comes in handy to the needy. Good to see that you make full use of your first cheque book from UOB.
It is not easy to apply for a cheque book now a days and you need a signatory if I am not wrong.

Naah.. Nowadays everybody can apply for a cheque book not just businessman only. Go to HSBC and open a Power Vantage account. You will get a Current account and Saving account in just one account number. Plus you will get an ATM card and a Cheque book. You saving also will automatically go into mutual fund with 3% annual. Cool huh?

The more you give, the more you receive

Apparently the Buddhist Tzu-Chi Meris Society got dragged down by massive clicking from LiewCF.com.
LiewCF-ed.
I’d suggest CF to donate some more for a better host for their society.
All in all, great deed you’ve made.

Blessing you men…
Even an poor men donate only 1 dollar for good, which the only dollar he has inside his pocket. Small amount doesn’t matter when come charity.

Skyrul,
In fact I got a cheque book that I never use plus 2 credit cards from HSBC when I took a housing loan from them. They will approve easily when they have verified that you have the money such as taking a bank loan or apply for Power Vantage account. Otherwise, you need a referer to get a cheque book plus stringent rules apply to get credit cards.
