Google Blog Search Redesigned Showing Hot Blog Posts
Filed in: Google, Weblog — October 3rd, 2008
Google Blog Search’s front page has been redesigned and now it tracks and groups the related blog posts according to the number of blogs about a story and the published time.

Google blog search front page
The new Google blog search looks very much like Google News. The related blog posts are clustered, and a blog count and thumbnail are displayed on the left hand side.
Clicking the blog count will dig further to the story and a chart on the right is showing the “hotness” of the story based on the number of blogs covering the story in the past 16 hours.
On the left most sides, the blog posts are categorized in different topics: Politics, US, World, Business, Technology, Video Games, Science, Entertainment, Movies, Television and Sports.
However, unlike Google blog search results, no feed is available for each blog topic. You can’t get the latest updates via feed or email.
For some tech geeks, the new Google blog search front page may look like a killer to Techmeme but Matt of Google showed the different.
Do you like the new Google blog search front page?

To all Malaysian bloggers out there,
If you want to get lots of traffic from the all new Google Blog Search, you have to start proper blogging from today onwards. No more plagiarism and blatant copying please. Malaysian bloggers should learn to credit blogs that gave them ideas and inspirations for their blog posts. Link to them, cite them and give them the proper credit.
Good luck!

Google is trying hard to get rid of the copy-paste bloggers, so any copy-paste bloggers will be victim of Google’s policy

I love the redesign. Definitely have to give a big thumbs up to Google. It’s also good to see that Google is making every effort to crack down on those who steal content without providing credit to the author.
