Every working person has own workspace, how does a full-time blogger / problogger’s workspace look like? The famous problogger, Darren, published a video of his simple and tidy home office.
I do not have own private workspace such as own room. I shared the space with my elder brother, who is working at home too. His desk is next to mine (not shown here).

Here is my new blogging workspace which I setup few months ago:

I wished to get the high-end Herman Miller
For the office desk, I got the biggest available in the catalog. Not that I need so much desk space but I feel more comfortable with spaces. Plus, I might add more monitors/computers in the future.
Here is the list of gadgets you see in the picture:
- Dell 2407WFP 24-inch UltraSharp LCD monitor
- Apple 12″ ibook (1.33GHz, 1.5GB RAM)
- Cooler Master NotePal Infinite notebook cooler
- Canon PowerShot A700 digital camera
- Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G router
- etaly cute thermometer alarm clock
- Cheap Microsoft mouse
- Broadband modem
- Nokia E65 mobile phone (test product)
The desk fan might look funny to you but it is the one cool me down from the warm weather of Malaysia. I have air-contitioner but I seldom turn it on because I want to save on the electricity bill.
The printing station
On the right of my desk, I have another computer table for Brother HL-2070N laser printer, HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One, and an old-school radio. All my print jobs are done by the laser printer. It is networked and shared. The All-in-One is used by my elder brother. I only use it for scanning and faxing. The standalone faxing feature is great.
Have you noticed that I do not have a set of speakers? Currently, I am depends on my iBook’s small built-in speakers.
I seldom listen to music and I do not want to disturb my brother next to me, therefore, high output speaker is not necessary. Anyway, I am looking for high quality and light weight headset.
Not in your sight
Beside my Apple station, I actually have a Vista box (PC) nearby (yet another computer table). I spent couple of thousands to build it but haven’t explored it yet. My Dell 17-inch LCD monitor is currently connected to the Vista box.
Future workspace setup
Beside getting a better chair, I am looking for a good foot rest
Also, I plan to get a color laserjet All-in-One when the HP Officejet 5610 broke down. Officejet 5610 is good but it is still a inkjet printer, the printing cost is high (compared to laser printing). HP Color LaserJet 2840 All-in-One looks like the ideal one.

if you are looking for headset, find sennheiser one. It has the best ever quality of treble and Bass effects.

Hey congratulations on going full time for 2 years! Working from home has its hazards, you don’t meet that many people. Is that why 5x mom has to do a gf search for you? That was entertaining but good luck! Both with the gf and the full-time blogging

I have a messy workspace. But currently, I’m at my coffee table with my laptop.
Looks really comfy and neat. Best of all it’s at home! No need to get stuck in traffic jams and worry about getting to work late.

Ok, LcF. here is mine. Although I made it long time ago for a sponsored review, I already highlighted most of them. And for your imagination only, I eat, work, blog, fun, watch DVDs on this spot! (sometimes I even fall asleep here too!)

should have them together with your PC as well. So you dont have to move much between mac and vista

Use fan meh? Why no air-cond? I know you can afford air-cond
