Change ICQ Lite Keyboard Shortcut

ICQ LiteJust found that we have no way to change/customize the ICQ Lite‘s keyboard shortcut. I was wanting to press Enter to send message, instead of default Ctrl + Enter. You know, it is rather confusing when different Instant Messengers use different keyboard shortcut to send messages…

According to ICQ Support, the current ICQ Lite keyboard shortcuts as follow:

  • Ctrl + Shift + A: Minimize/maximize ICQ Lite
  • Ctrl + Shift + I: Accept an incoming message
  • Ctrl + Enter: Send a message

Well, perhaps the only solution is to use the ICQ Pro 2003(bigger size). :???:

By the way, there are very nice IM clients that can access multiple IM account in one program: Miranda, Trillian, and Gaim.

    You can use ‘Alt-S’ to send icq messages, and this works with MSN and Yahoo becoz all their ‘send’ buttons have the letter ‘S’ as the hotkey.
