Chinese bank opts for open source

The Industrial Commercial Bank of China has signed a deal with Turbolinux to run its open-source software in all of the bank’s operations.

The bank will integrate Turbolinux’s operating systems and software across its network during the next three years, the software maker said on Thursday.

    i guess bank should used linux from the earlier stage to increased security. It’s a good news.

    Could a hacker who read linux source code hack in the bank’s linux system?

    yes vice-versa! and it is not a good idea to “hack” the bank. too stupid to do so, unless the bank is lame than the hacker, you won’t wanna save your money in there rite? :P
