Nope..it’s work very well..I’ve tried it with my friends by using the wireless usb and the custom made antenna. The result? I got the coverage from the HUKM which is a few km from my college.. :-) believe it or not..

hi-i am looking to make a wifi antenna for me and my mates at boarding school so we can pick up wifi from the nearby travelodge. can anybody give me simple instructions? really i need it to have an adaption for a standard LAN/netork cable (8 phase) so that we can hide the cable and run it to a boarding house into a hub and send it to the other boarding houses. the hotel is between 100-150m away.
contact me at hellcaster at hotmail dot co dot uk and if you get no reply after 2 days jamie dot ottaway at doyrms dot com

Good job on that Yagi antenna! For more long range antennas, havea look at my construction guides at:

    http://www.ab9il.net/wifi1.html

For popular USB wireless adapters there are also external antenna mods that work great. You can get much better performance with simple mods (generally no need for amplifiers).
