Epson E200 is a wearable wristwatch-type pulse monitor aims to grow Epson’s healthcare device business.
Epson E200 use an Epson-made sensor that measure your pulse rate by contact with your wrist while LCD screen indicates the amount of exercise required to achieve a fat-burning heart rate.

Unlike conventional pulse monitor, E200 does not involve a band sensor wrapped around finger.

E200 directs LED light into your skin then measure the amount of light that’s not absorbed by the hemoglobin. The device measures the pulse rate according to the different in the amount of light reflected back.
Availability
Currently, Epson E200 is only sold in Japan. Sales plans for other markets have not been announced.
