Microsoft Outlook is well known Personal Information Manager(PIM). EssentialPIM is almost a Outlook clone, except that it does not has email functions.

Features:

  • Tasks — good looking scheduler. Versatile and easy to use day, week and month schedules.
  • Notes — quick, simple and yet powerful outliner with tree-like information representation.
  • Contacts — all one would ever need about contacts management. Search, sort, add customs fields, print.

For converter, it can import existing data from Outlook, Windows Address Book and CSV. Besides normal installation, EssentialPIM has a standalone version that can run on USB memory disk, too!

Thought:
I never thought PIM is important to me until I came out from college. I am now using EssentialPIM to manage my tasks. It is easy to use and straight forward.

Ahh… I start thinking to get a PDA for myself(I helped my brother and father bought their PDAs before). With PDA, I can have PIM, ebook, games… all in one. Perhaps, write some PDA softwares too!? ;)
