Facebook Has Been Translated to Bahasa Melayu

Filed in: Web — November 6th, 2008

Facebook has now been translated to Bahasa Melayu with the help of many Malaysians.

facebook in bahasa melayu

Users can change the Facebook interface language via language menu at the bottom of the page.

I am not sure how many Malaysians will use the Bahasa Melayu translations. I myself don’t use it. The Bahasa Melayu translation looks weird and confuses me.

Something similar are the Friendster in Malay and Windows XP in Bahasa Melayu.

Do you use Malay interface of the social networking sites?

Why Bahasa Melayu? It should be English, the common language for Internet.

I wonder how many people will use Bahasa Melayu.

By the way, we have an alias for Facebook in Spanish: “Carelibro”. It means “face of a book”. :)

I do not feel to change the language to Bahasa Malaysia although I am a Malay Guy.
maybe because I am used to with all the english menu, so same as you I will get confuse with all the direct translation..
but I think its nice to see more Online Big Boys provide Bahasa Melaysia as their language option.
