Firefox 1.0.5

Filed in: Downloads, Mozilla — July 13th, 2005

FirefoxFirefox 1.0.5 is released and I just upgraded my office PC’s Firefox. Frankly, the steps to uninstall*, download and re-install Firefox is getting annoyed me now.

*Make sure you uninstall any previous version of Firefox before upgrade.

Nothing new in Firefox 1.0.5, as usual, it fixed several vulnerabilities and improved stability. Still recommended to upgrade, anyway.

I am looking forward for Firefox 1.1 in August 2005. :)

I stopped uninstalling from several versions ago.

So far so good… Maybe a couple of extensions a little buggy, but once I reinstall just the buggy extensions, no more problems (touch wood).

    Cheers!

Solbi-wan Kenobi: I don’t dare to follow you, I have ALOT extensions installed.

sammie: no, uninstall Firefox will not remove the installed extension. The Firefox program and Firefox extensions are stored in different places on your hardisk.

    So do I! LOL

No difference since if my way screws up then you will still end up having to re-install all extensions anyway.

My way, there’s a 50 percent chance you won’t have to! haha

    Cheers!
