And it's totally free, of course. There's no problem with installing OpenOffice.org on the same machine with Microsoft Office or another office suite. (No conflict with other software period, as far as I know.) It of course runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris, OS/2, and more. Anyone who's used an office suite will be able to play around with OpenOffice.org and do simple tasks immediately.
