Germany Government Recommends Google Chrome as the Most Secure Browser

Google chrome logo 150pxGoogle Chrome has been recommended by Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) to Windows 7 users as the best browser.

“BSI ticked off Chrome’s anti-exploit sandbox technology, which isolates the browser from the operating system and the rest of the computer; its silent update mechanism and Chrome’s habit of bundling Adobe Flash, as its reasons for the recommendation.”

Unlike in the other countries, where Windows 7 automatically use Internet Explorer as the default browser, Germans are shown a default browser selections screen when they first run Windows.

Google Chrome is currently 2nd most popular browser in the world (after IE) and the most popular web browser in many countries, including Malaysia.
