StatCounter browser malaysia 201108

Google Chrome is now the most popular web browser in Malaysia.

According to StatCounter Global Stats report, Chrome tied with Firefox at June 2011 as most popular web browser in Malaysia. Chrome keeps growing, overtakes Firefox and becomes the No.1 web browser in Malaysia since July 2011.

Top browsers in Malaysia

Currently, Chrome takes 36.29% in Malaysia. Firefox is 32.16% and IE, which was Top 1 browser before August 2010, now at 3rd place with 27.85%. The 4th is Safari (2.36%).

I have been using Google Chrome as my primary web browser for years. It is fast and support extensions to add features. On Windows, I only use IE to download Chrome. :P

In recent benchmark, Chrome has proven to be the fastest web browser in real world testing.

For your interest, watch the following video by Google Chrome team for the Chrome’s speed:

Which is your primary web browser?

Last year I asked my readers to pick their primary web browser, the result was Chrome 40% vs. Firefox 38%. I would like to run another poll this year.

I find it amazing people actually pay to have someone deliver something so broken it only works in an outdated, unsupported, broken browser.  From my brother’s blog http://hexawise.wordpress.com/2010/05/14/not-just-another-ie6-must-die-post/

I would prefer Chrome but still using Firefox because I like google toolbar and chrome don’t support their own toolbar! Its easier to list down the bookmark with google toolbar.

I use Firefox because of the add-ons that still not available on Chrome yet. Until Chrome has all those add-on, I am stick with FireFox. :D
