Download Google Maps for iPhone with Voiced-guided Turn-by-turn Navigation

Google Maps for iPhone

Ever since iOS 6 released, the biggest complaint is about the Maps app. Apple decided to dump Google Maps and replaced with its own app. The result? It’s so terrible that even Apple CEO, Tim Cook, apologized about it. Guess what, Google Maps is now back!

Google Maps for iPhone is now available on Apple Apps Store and 29 languages, including Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

Google Maps app now has a sharper looking, vector-based map and provides smooth tilting and rotating of 2D and 3D views. Depends on your the availability in your country, Google Maps for iPhone provides voiced-guided turn-by-turn navigation, public transit directions, live traffic information, Street View, and more.

It’s great, isn’t it? The bad news is.. Google Maps for iPhone is only available in 30+ countries, excluding Malaysia (my country). You would need to create a US iTunes account in order to install Google Maps on your iPhone before it becomes officially available in your country.

Hi, I downloaded it from US store ( I live in Malaysia), but the turn by turn function seems to be unavailable. I can’t find it and there’s only a preview option available. So does the function isnt available even though i downloaded it through US store? thanks.

    • Although you installed the app via US store, the map data is depends on the availability of your location. Turn-by-turn data is not available in Malaysia yet.
