In this article, you will learn how to create a Google+ Page badge for your website using Google Developers badge configuration tool.
If you haven’t created a Google+ page yet, follow this link to create one.
First of all, you need to get your Google+ Page ID, which is a 21-digit string. Unfortunately, Google+ yet offer easy-to-remember URL shortnames like Facebook Pages.
After you got your Google+ Page ID, goto badge configuration tool on Google Developers and paste your G+ page ID under “Set your Google+ page link”.
As soon as you submit your Google+ Page ID, you will get a badge preview. There are 6 options: standard badge, small badge, small icon, medium icon, large icon, and no badge (huh?). You can also further customize your badge’s language and advanced options.
At the bottom of the page, you get the badge code which you will copy and paste into your site to add Google+ Page badge. The code splits into 2 parts, the first tag is to be placed in thepart of your web page. The latter tag is where you want to show the badge.
My two cents
Whether you like it or not, Google has added Google+ factors in Google search results. I’d recommend every website owner create a Google+ Page and add the badge to your website. It is easy.
