HOW TO: Uninstall Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 and Vista

You installed Internet Explorer 9 but did not like it, and now you want to uninstall IE9? Here you will learn the step-by-step instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 and Vista.

  1. Click the Start button, type Programs and Features in the search box
  2. Click the Programs and Features then click View installed updates in the left pane.
  3. Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
  4. Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
  5. Click one of the following:
    • Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
    • Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).

        Oh..gosh MS taking initiative to promotes its ie9 and now educating ppl to uninstall it. They are quite flexible in a way.

    I installed both ie9 and FF4 last week. seriously FF4 much better than ie9. I find ie9 way of rendering font is so bad. Even after turning on the win7 cleartype, it still looks bad. but i’m not uninstalling ie9 because I dont use it regularly . only when i’m testing compatibility with my web design.

    i am sure that firefox 4 is much more better than IE 9, in term of speed. i don’t like IE..
