HowTo: Crash Windows XP On Demand

Filed in: Tips — March 18th, 2004

Yeah, you read the title correct. Here is a tip to crash your Windows XP at ANYTIME you want! ;)

TweakXP.com: Windows-XP has a “feature” (???) with which it is possible to manually crash a system by simply holding the right CTRL key and pressing the “Scroll Lock” key twice.

Since I do not recommend anybody to crash their Windows purposely, I do not reveal the method here. If you are nothing to do or just for fun, read the instructions at TweakXP.com.

“Happy crashing…”, TweakXP.com said.

Thought:
It is REALLY surprise that Windows XP has a CrashOnCtrlScroll undocumented registry key in it! Is this another joke of Microsoft’s programmers? ;)
