IEs4Linux – Install Internet Explorer on Linux with One Script
Filed in: Downloads, Linux, Microsoft, Open Source, Tips — June 24th, 2006
Previously, I published a tip to install Internet Explorer (IE) on Linux, but it was rather complicated for most of the new Linux users. IEs4Linux is a simpler way to run IE on Linux. Besides IE6, it also supports IE 5.5 and IE5!

IEs4Linux setup
Wine and cabextract are required to be installed first(installation help). Then, download IEs4Linux and extract it. Open a terminal and run the “ies4linux” executable. Follow the instructions and you’re done.

My two cents
IE on Linux is not for daily web surfing, but it is great for web designers who are working on Linux platform.
