Moto X, the 2013 flagship Android smartphone by Motorola Mobility, is quietly available in Malaysia. It has been 8 months since first released. Too late in even more competitive phone market in 2014.

The news of Lenovo to acquire Motorola Mobility broke up shortly after the launch of Moto G in Malaysia in January 2014.

We thought Moto X would never be released in Malaysia. Eventually, Motorola Mobility introduces Moto X in Malaysia at the end of April 2014.

Thoughts

In 2013, Moto X’s specs and price is high value-for-money. In the very competitive smartphone market, things changed a lot in a few months time. RM1.5K for Moto X specs is no longer attractive. It missed the golden timing to be sold in Malaysia.
