MySpace Instant Messenger

MySpace, the most popular social networking website has launched its own instant messenger — MySpaceIM.

  • One-click login to MySpace mail, bulletins, and more
  • Instant alerts for all MySpace requests, messages, and comments
  • Find and view your MySpace friends’ profiles

My two cents

MySpaceIM’s simple user interface looks like Google Talk. Not sure that MySpaceIM is using standard or its own developed IM protocol. We have too many instant messengers, it is about time to merge them all together.

    It would be against the interests of Bill Gates and the secret contract he’s made with myspace CEO to give myspace messenger access to mac user’s. Thankfully there is a program called Adium which is basically a mac equivalent chat client for Myspace IM. Support developer’s who don’t work for major corporations!

    I just want you to know we are working hard at making MyspaceIM available for Mac Users. There are certain laws and permissions we must acquire prior to making the software to work. We do care about our Mac users and hope to have it available by late Feb. Thanks!

    Yes. I too am on a mac and would very much like to see a myspace messenger for mac users. They said a while back they were going to try to make a mac version but I don’t know what ever happened with that.
