PayPal Address on Text Link Ads Check

Last week, I received the Text Link Ads(aff) affiliate payment check but I cannot bank in it because it got my name wrong!

Well, it was my fault. I changed TLA payment method from PayPal to check but forgot to update the PayPal address to my full name as well. As a result, I received a check with my PayPal address.

I emailed TLA to cancel the check. It will take $50 stop payment fee to cancel the check. In order to avoid the fee, I have to mail the check back to TLA. Once they received the check, they will send payment to my PayPal address(my current payment method).

So, the check came to me and flew back to New York (TLA head quarter is in NY) just a day after.

Lesson learned: Avoid changing payment method. Or, remember to update receiver information after changing any details.

    Hi Liew, do you mind to share the income distribution in term of percentage from Text Link, Adsense and others? (for example Adsense contribute 50%, Text Link 30% and others 20%).

    Sorry to hear of the cancellation fee. Unfortunately banks charge to cancel them, although $50 is pretty steep. Then again, they are located in NYC, most expensive city in the states…at least one of them.

    I also thought I would recommend giving us a look. (our cancellation check fee is only $30 haha) http://www.linkworth.com … good compliment to who you use now and you can actually earn 70% of the money. We have a lot of products rolled into one giving you many ways to monetize your blog!
