PIKOM PC Fair 2008 (III) Dates and Venues

pikom pc fairIt’s year-end holiday shopping season! The final PIKOM PC Fair of the year 2008 is here! The following is the list of PC Fair 2008 (III) dates and venues.

5 – 7 December 2008 (11:00am – 9:00pm)

  • Penang International Sports Arena, Penang
  • Sabah Trade Centre, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
  • Central Square, Sungai Petani, Kedah
  • Dewan SJK(C) Yuk Choy, Ipoh, Perak
  • Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan, Pahang

12 – 14 December 2008 (11:00am – 9:00pm)

  • KL Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur
  • Mahkota Parade Melaka, Melaka
  • Dewan Suarah, Bintulu, Sarawak
  • Batu Pahat (BP) Mall, Batu Pahat, Johor

19 – 21 December 2008 (11:00am – 9:00pm)

  • Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru
  • Dewan 2020, Kangar, Perlis
  • Dewan Tunku Ibrahim Ismail, Kluang, Johor

Since it is year-end sales, I don’t expect many new IT products in this PC Fair. Instead, try to get the hardware/gadgets you want at cheaper price before they release new products for 2009.

However, I hope to see more netbooks this time. I can’t get the ideal netbook in last PC Fair. There have been a number of new netbooks released during last few months. My elder brother asked me to look for one for him, and I might get one more for myself too!

Oh! I haven’t got my Canon 450D and lenses! I will check PC Fair for good deals. :)

What do you want to buy at PC Fair?

Update: I got my Canon 450D and 24-105mm F/4 L IS USM Lens!

    Im also looking forward to survey the netbooks.

    I wonder whether LG will launch its netbooks during this PC Fair. I am particularly interested in the X 110 model which has built-in HSPDA 3G.

    Can anyone suggest any spot or highlighted product that is estimate to be in low price rather than normal price at low yat plaza? I’ve noted that there is many free gift especially when you subscribe for some magazine or buy some product…

    I usually went at Mahkota Parade, Melaka PC Fair , can balik kampung also. Luckily they have shifter to KL Convention Center , previous one at PWTC is too crowded

    I went to the fair on the first day – Friday.
    What a complete waste of time. Nothing there that I couldn’t buy in Low Yat with much less hassle. Nothing interesting or new.

    And promoters – thousands(?) of them – more than customers. All of them blocking the aisles & shoving papers in your face. If you didn’t take the brochure from the first Maxis promoter, why would you take it from the 37th in a row?

    In the end I was there for less than 1 hour, walked out empty-handed & glad to be out of the place. An interesting comparison with the Offshore South East Asia convention that I went to in Singapore the week before – great organisation vs no organisation. This will be the last PC Fair I attend.

    i went to ICT Fair in Kuching last week and just buy thumdrive and FM Modulator. He He He. I didn’t expect PIKOM PC Fair will be in Bintulu. hehehe. Too far for me to go though
