PSP Price in Malaysia

Some were asking about the Sony Playstation Portable(PSP) price in Malaysia. I don’t have the info in hands, so I ask for them in local newsgroup.

Here is Mark Ng‘s reply:

Yep, both US and Japanese versions are available. Japanese version costs around RM1000 or less. The US one is about USD$200 more(RM1200+).

Some shops are even carrying UMD Video. Most of them are Region 1.

Avalaible in Imbi Plaza, Sungei Wang, 1 Utama, MidValley Megamall and lots more.

My two cents

Seems like PSP is not as expensive as I thought. Check out PSP hacks for more things you can do with a PSP.

Update: PSP is more affordable nowadays, which is under RM1000.

Phew…thank god i haven’t buy psp-2000(slim)^^ Now Sony just launched the new redesigned psp-3000!!! The new psp-3000 has a built-in microphone and better anti-reflection screen. So, when it will available in Malaysia?I wanna grab it first^^

Hi there, I got a problem with my psp… Bought it from Singapore for around two weeks and today when I played it, suddenly the screen get distorted and when I try to restart the console is still the same… It only provide sound but no picture or any graphic whatsoever… Anyone can help?? I din dropm my psp nor get it wet I just dunno what happen on it… Please help…

how am i suppose to begin???
i hav a slim psp… and a few questions…
1) process of making pandora battery is complicated and little confusing… i visited others sites, and get different tutorials… this confused me… and only selected type of battery can be used to make pandora battery. i wish to know which type of battey…
2) if possible, any shops outside in klang valley selling pandora battery??? maybe i buy one instead of making it by myself…
3) i heard of magic memory stick… and read the tutorial of making it in other sites… it seems easier to make than pandora battery… wat is size of memory card required???
4) is pandora battery have to work with magic memory stick to unbricks psp??? or either one able to do that???

Sabata,you might not want to do so as the new PSP 3000 might take a really long time to get hacked.This in other words mean,that you have to dig RM200 for every UMD game that you buy.I’d say,get the PSP2000 when it’s still around.

zoobank93,of course custom firmware is better as it allows us users to fork out more functions out of our psp units.Official firmwares,are firmwares that are unable to run iso games,homebrew games and MANY more.Just get custom firmware,and never once upgrade to official firmwares unless you have got a good clue on what you’re performing.

i went strollin around sungai wang and the lowest price for psp 2000 is RM 600 for the basic package and rm 650 for the psp 3000. the best package deal was RM770,the guy offer psp 2000 console, headphone, screen protector,hard case, soft case, 8gb memory card preloaded with any game you like.
