to all who wanted to buy a psp,if u want to buy,dont buy the red or bronze (or any other color) from local dealer.they might be recon set.especially the two color i mentioned before.if u want those better get from sony dealer.the other 6 color, they MIGHT NOT all be recon set.
i bought white 1 befor,then go change a red 1 2days later (cos its so pretty).then when i look closely(i like to look avery detail.but after i got home oready) then i feel like my red psp aint the real thing.the body looks ok from outsid.but when look on the inside u’ll find that the color is different from the outer 1.maybe its the real thing.but maybe its not as well.its made in china.deep red are suppose to be limited edition, but as u can see, many are sold by our local dealer.
no worry bout the performance.they perform well as a psp.no problem.its just that if u are afraid u might get a recon set, then my advice,avoid buying the limited edition(deep red n bronze only.the starwars,ff7 n GOW might be fine) from our local dealer.

i got slim psp n currently im using 3.93 but i cant play the iso game coz i upgraded using the wi-fi (stupid me) i’d tried to get the custom 1 bit non of that usefull..i’ve been stuck 4 olmost 3 month..oh god..im just using my psp 4 mp3 (pity me) can u teach me how solve this prop..n 1 more thing how to downgred the firmware?

Alright bro’.Looks like you’ve got yourself in some deep problems.This problem can be solved pretty easily,using a Pandora’s Battery.

A Pandora’s battery consists of a jigkick battery and a magic memory stick.Confused eh? No worries.The jigkick battery is actually a standard psp battery and the memory stick is the standard Sony/Sandisk one.

Now to create a Pandora’s Battery,you’ll need access to an already hacked psp.If you do have it,inform me and i’ll help you make one.If you don’t,then you might have to buy one off the internet for a pretty hefty price OR open up the psp battery and hardmod it.

The best way is to softmod it using a hacked psp.Cheers bro’.Tell me if you don’t understand any of the above.I’ll explain even more then.

Charmander,not he can’t seeing that official firmware 3.93 can’t run the installer nor any other homebrew.In fact,the only official firmwares that can run homebrew are 1.00 and 1.50.Using some hacks.(HEN),tiff homebrews can be played on 2.71 official firmware.

Alright jim666,i knew that you’d be confused.Now,as i told Charmander earlier,you can’t run homebrew on an official firmware psp except for 1.50 and 1.00.That means,when you try doing so on an official firmware psp,you would get an error.The exact error that you got.

Now,i’ll explain.

A psp boots up from flash 0 which is your psp life where all the important stuff are situated in.Your main menu,video and everything.So now,what the Pandora’s Battery does is that,it boots your psp to the memory stick instead of the flash 0.And this is a very good hack for users can use it to install any firmware over their current firmware.

Example : You’ve got 3.93 official firmware.Now when you insert a Pandora’s Battery,with the memory stick firmly placed in already,your psp will auto-boot and it’ll bring you to a menu where you can install custom firmware on your psp.

Themes :
Well,for the moment,you can’t use CTF/Flash 0 themes.You however can use PTF themes.Search for some PTF themes in Google,and place the .ptf file in PSP/THEME.Once done,go to themes and select it.Then boom,the theme is installed.

Yes,once a psp has custom firmware installed on it,users can run dumped games on it.When you buy a psp set,it most probably would have custom firmware on it,so no worries.

PSP does not has build-in GPS but you can buy an optional PSP GPS Receiver.

readz,well it’s pretty cheap compared to the hefty price tag it had before.Go to Lowyat Plaza or Sungei Wang and roam around till you find a deal which your feel is reasonable.
