RSScache Save Your Site Feed Bandwidth

Filed in: Web — September 28th, 2005

RSScache is a FeedBurner like site feed hosting service. It is free and easy to use.

Use RSScache with your feed

No registration required. Simply add “my.rsscache.com/” in front of your feed URL.
Example: http://my.rsscache.com/www.yoursite.com/feed/

Besides, you can get feed statistic from RSScache (though I don’t get it to work) and earn extra revenue from your site feeds by insert Chitika ads into your feed. You get 50% revenue per click.

Thought

Though RSScache support different feed formats (rss, atom, rdf) but, unlike FeedBurner, it does not has smart feed (auto convert feed format depends on the feed reader) and it is not web browser friendly, you cannot view the feed from browser.

if you serve full content feed, then it will take up some bandwidth. I mean the feed statistic does not work for me, not the feed ads. I do not use RSScache personally.
