Sell Ad Spaces by Yourselves (Part 2)
Filed in: Make Money Online — July 17th, 2006This is the part two of previous “Sell Ad Spaces by Yourselves“, we will talk about how to set your ad price, attract ad buyers, and so on.
Again, this is another great article(Malay) by Alang.
How to set the ad price?
Setting a product price can be critical. If it is set too expensively, nobody will buy. If set too cheaply, you won’t get benefit. So, what is the reasonable price for ads on your website?
Here is the list of online tools to help you determine the price of your ads:

- http://www.text-link-ads.com/link_calculator.php

Please note that the prices are for suggestion only. A good tip is to decide the ad price by the number of competitors. Also, do not sell too many ads space. Too many ads will reduce the value.
Attract more advertisers
You can use flexible ad price to attract more advertisers. For example, give discount to advertiser who buy multiple ads or long period subscriptions like 3 months, 6 months, or a year.
Monitor your ad sales
For those with lesser sales, you may use spreadsheet programs like MS Excel to handle them.
If you have many websites and selling ads by yourselves, it is difficult to manage them manually. Alang paid a web developer for an Link Sales Tracker script(demo, user/password: demo) to do the task. You may contact Alang to buy the script.
