Tips for College Students and Job for Graduates

My younger brother will enroll college very soon. Steve Pavlina has a few tips for college students. I hope that my brother would read and follow these tips.

  1. “Why am I going to college?”
  2. Imagine your ideal college experience
  3. Take at least one extra class each semester
  4. Set clear goals for each class
  5. Triage ruthlessly
  6. Get an early start to each day
  7. Reclaim wasted time during your classes
  8. Learn material the very first time it’s presented
  9. Master advanced memory techniques
  10. Have some serious fun!

First job: Blogger

On the other hand, a friend of mine just graduated from college. She took computing course but has not interest to work in the field. It is quite common. Many people get a job that is totally unrelated to what they have studied in college.

My friend is looking for some income. I ask her to blog for money andintroduced her an Adsense book for beginner — “Make Easy Money with Google“.

I will meet her again few days later to discuss about her blogging project. Perhaps, she will be my assistant. :)

    Steve Pavlina is a great inspiration for me. I listen to his podcast and read all his blog entries. He is also a very successful pro-blogger making money mostly from Adsense.

    I think your friend will do well if she becomes your assistant, Liew :)

    According to Steve, 99% of the people who wants to ‘copy’ his money making technique will fail because they don’t have what it takes. However you already know ‘the secret’. So if I were your friend, I’d follow you :)

    great tips but i believe that there is more than that in college than setting goal…like having fun and networking at the same time is very important fory your career life

    @Jessica: I don’t think it is easy to make money online, but the book is good for beginner to know what are all the adsense things about. The book title is, like other books, a marketing trick.

    @aHfUi: I don’t recommend to work together with gf or wife. :)
