TMNET International Link to Hong Kong
Filed in: Malaysia, Tmnet — August 23rd, 2005TM NET International link problem again. This is the 2nd time in 7 days since the outage of International link to Europe.
“What’s wrong with you, TM NET?”
TM Net Sdn Bhd’s Internet service is currently experiencing a slight drop in performance caused by several outages due to service degradation at some of its international links to Hong Kong. Some Internet users in Malaysia and other parts of Asia may be experiencing some delay when assessing websites hosted outside of Malaysia especially to Hong Kong. This is due to a landslide at the Lantau cable landing station in Hong Kong that occurred on 20th August 2005.
As a result, TM Net is currently running slightly short on international capacity due to the problem. TM Net is currently working closely with the cable restoration team for the cable failure that has occurred.

P/S: I hightly suspect that TMNET webmaster has a default template for the message. You can compare this and this. And, they like to use the word “slightly“.
